Dangote has earned N2 billion everyday passed in 2014 according to Bloomberg Billionaire Index

The Bloomberg Billionaire Index, one of the world’s leading efficient data centers for information on the wealthiest 200 people has reported that Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man who is reportedly the world’s 23rd richest, according to Forbes (Bloomberg puts him at #30) makes over N 2 billion every 24 hours.

According to information provided by Bloomberg, Dangote has earned $791.7 million (N126.6 billion) in the first 63 days of 2014, a sum of N2.04 billion a day. That is higher than Bill Gates, the world’s richest man on Forbes and Bloomberg, has only made $364 million (N58 billion) this year thus far.

Dangote is the world’s third highest and fastest earning billionaire in the world, according to Bloomberg, only surpassed by Jack Taylor (#45), owner of Enterprise Holdings, the world’s largest car-rental service. He has made $1.7 billion so far in 2014. Ernesto Bertarelli (#53), the Swiss billionaire has made $1 billion this year.

Dangote Group recently announced plans are underway to build a $292 million (N46 billion) cement plant in Yamba, Southern Congo.

Construction work for the factory, which will produce over 1.5 million tonnes of cement per year and create more than 650 jobs, will span two and a half years.

Dangote Group also recently requested for a 50,000-hectare of land in Niger Sate, Northern Nigeria to enable the company to cultivate rice and sugarcane.
