Social Media:Agent of Disturbance

 The evolution of the Internet has diversified the ways of doing things. Messages are delivered faster and cheaper, researches and information are being accessed just a click away. All these has resulted to what we refer to as new age.

  The evolution of Internet has forth brought the social media which has many platforms such as facebook , whatsapp, twitter etc which has been one of the major source of distraction among students. Visiting the social media has become a routine, a religion and an habit that renders an average student complete if not done in a day.
   You will all agree with me that there have been many cases of students viewing pornographic videos even before a lecturer in the class. This has resulted to poor academic performance.
   Time is being wasted online without noticing because, with the intention of spending lesser time on the social media you find yourself updating other things that will result to spending more than the time intended.
   In order to reduce the problem of distraction,the social media should be used for educational purpose among many other reasons that will result to positive and brilliant results in students.
